  1. Heather… something about this photo just sweeps my breath away. For me, there is NOTHING like a dose of the aussie country side, and especially old goldmining countryside, to restore the spirit, regulate the breath and bring me back to ground. I am so envious of your two month sabatical. Breath deep and enjoy the chorus of birds that will most certainly wake you daily… xoxo Samm

  2. It’s a lovely position, Heather. A great resting place for that special dog. I agree with you Samm, there is nothing like that Australian Bush.

  3. Ash is near here, in the garden under a tree. I will add a photo of where he is lying.

  4. I’m a bit late finding this post, but I’m a bit late finding my way back to everyone and everything around me. Signs abound assuring me that this is indeed time for me to reconnect with the life and death around me. Yes, death too. The death experiences of others and the bond we share through them.

Our deep love and esteem for our animal family/friends is apparently yet another between us, Heather. Bailey, the late sister cat of my Irish, is buried in the garden of my former home in Dundas. The spot, of course, marked by the largest boulder of granite that Dorian and I could carry between us out from the forest specifically for the sombre duty.

I wish for Ash, however, that your granite, like ours, was PINK! *smile* Yes, the Canadian granite is miles and miles, and miles of PINK.

    Love you forever,
    Steph
